Grab your herb cutters or favorite scissors and lets get cutting!
What is the easiest way to harvest herbs?
Tip #1 Harvest your herbs once every 1-2 weeks at minimum to promote new growth
Tip #2 Always leave 1/3 of the plant, never harvest entire plant, it helps plant to reproduce and grow larger
Basil - always cut from the top of the plant, just above a node (set of 2 leaves) if flowers begin to bloom cut off immediately to prevent taste of basil from going bitter
Oregano & Thyme - cut full stems off leaving approx. 1" from the base of the plant
Mint - very invasive vine, cut full stems off leaving approx. 1" from the base of plant
Parsley - Cut full stems off starting from the outer area of the plant working your way inward, always leaving a minimum of 1/3 of the plant
